EastCoast NPZ
I've given up hope of it raining here. It's nice to see the DP above 70F yet again (sarcasm), at least we can keep our streak of 70F+ dews without a drop or rain intact.
yoda
5% wind added again on 1630z OTLK ..MID ATLANTIC WEAK HEIGHT FALLS AND POCKETS OF STRONGER HEATING/DESTABILIZATION MAY LEAD TO AN INCREASE IN TSTM DEVELOPMENT THROUGH THE AFTERNOON FROM NEAR MD/PA BORDER TO POINTS SOUTH AND EAST. NEARLY MOIST ADIABATIC LAPSE RATES MAY LIMIT OVERALL STORM INTENSITY BUT BACKGROUND ASCENT AND SOME INCREASE IN MID-LEVEL FLOW TO ABOUT 30KT MAY RESULT IN A SCATTERING WIND DAMAGE/TREE DOWN EVENTS DURING THE PERIOD OF PEAK HEATING THIS AFTERNOON. usedtobe
most runs arent even pumping out much today at this pt. tho with the vortmax pushing in seems we should get something.. but it is moving pretty slow. I think for mby this is a better shot a decent rain than yesterday though I did squeeze out .16" from a isolated cell yesterday. I like having a vort, albeit a weak one approaching. snownut
happy this will be my last humid plus 90 day for a while as we vacation to the PNW tomorrow... so looking forward to the crystal clear lake water, DP's in the 20's, bright sunny afternoons in the 80's and lows in the 40's that is my idea summer weather. I'll be checking my PWS back here to see if the DP gets into the 50's later this week as forecast by someone from the forum last week, does look like it gets "nicer" here for a few days at least. wxdude64
A small shower rolled thru in last hour, dropped 0.03 keeping the monthly streak of rain everyday but the 16th intact here. EDIT- looks like ROA getting pounded again today, they may reach 15 inches for month yet.

EastCoast NPZ
.55" this afternoon as measured at the nearest wxbug. My gage has more, but I don't trust its accuracy. That's more rain than I've seen in a month. Much needed and appreciated. Also the most lighting (by far) of any storm this season. Reminiscent of last summer's storms. The south end of that blob just keeps redeveloping as the whole batch shifts east.Edit: what's been most impressive is the lightning with it. Kmlwx
This is usually about the time when Sterling radar craps out. It does? I only can remember a few storm events where we lost radar (one was recent though, so maybe that's what you're thinking of?) Or do you mean it dries up?
