ravensrule
LOL. Now if it was snow, that's different. Have to measure that stuff in hundredths. I hope you got a new ruler for this winter .

mattie g
LOL. Now if it was snow, that's different. Have to measure that stuff in hundredths. Lots of digits make snowfall amounts look impressive. Nevermind the silly decimal point...

ravensrule
You've got another day at least to get something. You are not even up this late in the winter, is the lack of snow forcing you to become a severe wx weenie .

mattskiva
I went outside and felt a couple stray spits, but that's about it. Distant lightning and thunder, too. I won't mind missing a deluge, but a little rain would be nice. This rainstorm is insane. It's right over me - very localized FFW listing northwestern PW, southeastern Loudoun, southwestern FFX - I am in far SE loudoun, about 150 yards from FFX and 1.5mi north of PW. So far 2.75" of rain in the last 75 minutes, with more than 1.5" of that falling in one 35 minute period of time. Still pouring with thunder and lightning. My sump pump is working overtime. mattskiva
all the western burb guys that have been complaining are going to get shellacked... Indeed - I have 2.75" today which gives me a total of 3.70" for the month of July. The great Loudoun Desert is finally getting rain!
SoxFanNH
Picked up again at IAD, 0.26" in the past 5 minutes. Incredible rainfall rates out of this complex. Make that 0.40" in 8 minutes...
