usedtobe
The models are forecasting the development of an upper low just west of the mountains during the next 24 to 36 hrs. We used to have an old adage, beware of upper lows in summer, there is often a surprise. My guess is someone in VA, Maryland or WV is going to get more rain than they wish over the next 2 days. The scale of the really heavy rain may be small but this is the type of situation that needs to be watched carefully. Already there is slow moving convective cells forming west of dc and there has been flooding in southwest VA

WinterWxLuvr
Oh, MN...I ordered a simple rain gauge from Amazon today. I should at least be able to measure my rain in the tenths of an inch. Sweet! Is there a need to measure it in tenths of an inch?
