Lol that storm has a rainfall rate of 6.51 inches per hour. Saw that on TWC. Good lord. I wish I was there lmao.

I garnered 0.46 inch of rain when the line went through Hickory.  Power flickered a couple of times, but no outage.  I also checked my DP high for the day at it was 79 F.  Didn't quite beat you mackerel_sky, but came close.  At least I tied the hotbed of humidity that is known as Waycross!  Wait...That's not a good thing, is it?

Nope, that's not good. Even worse for mackerel_sky that he beat my dewpoint. His area is about to get hammered with storms.

Had hail reported near Greer , SC half the size of a mans fist, in an official storm report by NWS

You're kidding.  That was in an NWS report?  Shame on them, they should know better.  Was the man a jockey or an NBA player?

A sweet outflow boundary just passed thru from that duzy storm up Atl way. I'm headed out to hunt fish..hope it cool things off a bit on the lake. Figure I've got a two to three hour window before the lake gets scary with lightening. T

You are probably talking about this one I catch on radar.

Fun quote from today's FFC disco

  Quote

MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TODAY AND YESTERDAY IS THAT THERE IS NO APPARENT FEATURE TO INDUCE LIFTING. THE ATMOSPHERE ACROSS THE CWA WAS WORKED OVER VERY WELL AND FEEL THIS IS MORE OF A RECUPERATING DAY WITH ISOLATED TO SCATTERED CONVECTION DUE TO LIFTING FROM DAYTIME HEATING.

I think Forecaster 17 is trolling AmWx
