Central Park lol-worthy as usual in lagging behind even JFK on a SW wind.

The increased growth in recent years combined with the very wet conditions from May into early July really

makes it tough to hit 100 at the Park. The last few years when they topped 100 was much drier. They may

get stuck in the upper 90's again today.

we'll see. remember all the people a month ago saying no way we'd see any 95+ temps or long heatwaves this month?

I agree that one shouldn't dismiss the possibility of at least some heat in August. Given the evolution of ENSO and the assumption of a continuation of neutral conditions, I suspect that we'll see a number of 90° days in NYC in August (perhaps 4-7?). A higher figure might be more likely than not should ENSO anomalies warm from current levels.

Every gfs run gets just a tad warmer for next week. I think ewr ends up no cooler than 86-88 for highs and low 70s at night. so far they've been below 70 for one hour this entire month.

You are not going to get a below normal pattern with the mins verifying higher than the forecasts for the last few months.

Even on days with clouds, the high may be near normal but the lows will stay up with the higher dews.

Clouds definitely doing their dirty work today as LGA stayed steady at 95 from the 11AM report to the 12PM report. Let's see what 1PM brings.

Just about every time the dews hit 75 or higher here, we get storms to fire around the region.

This is the closest we will get here to Florida style diurnal convection on the sea breeze fronts.

Our dews are pushing what Naples ,Florida has this hour.

LGA and PWS station for zip 11103 (APRSWXNET) in Astoria almost always match exactly.

11103 is down to 94 at 12:30.
