jm1220
JFK up 11 degrees between 7 and 9AM. Impressive. There might be an 11am high there of 95 or 96 before the seabreeze gets going. That north wind really gets the shore regions cooking.

bluewave
Will be shocked if EWR doesn't get to 100. Yeah, they won't have to contend with the SSE breeze today which held their temps back yesterday.
earthlight
Yeah, they won't have to contend with the SSE breeze today which held their temps back yesterday. Over the last several years I can remember several days like this where they got to 90-95 before 10am. They hit 100 every time. Nothing will come close to the dry heat back a few years ago with the NW flow where EWR got to 105 or 106. That was incredible.

IsentropicLift
Great stretch of weather incoming next week if the 00z GGEM has a clue. Lots of days with sunny skies and highs in the upper 70's to low 80's. Maybe one or two days with a shot at 90. It's a little more problimatic for the Jersey shore beaches as the front gets hung up to our south on Sunday and a wave of low pressure moves along it. The winds and the early heat should keep them on track for right around 100 today. The 4KM did a great job yesterday showing the potential SE flow. It's quite rare down at the shores to have heat that long lasting, so it's very impressive.
SACRUS
Quick look ahead, the front and timing could allow for a mainly dry Saturday (day) and with enough sun a 4th day of some strong heat 95 - 100, and 7th of 90+ in a row. Sunday is likely cloudy with storms/rain before some drier and cooler weather mon/tue if the front clears the area. Still looks like a warmer more humid flow develops by wed (7/24) with leftovers of the front brining increased storm chances through the end of next week. Beyond there and into next weekend (7/27) it looks like the trough backs over the Lakes and we remain in a more humid flow with warmer than normal temps. Reminds me of lare June/early July some scattered 90 degree readings.

SnoSki14
It's days like we've been having where I have to smack myself when people say they love the hot/humid weather. It's beyond oppressive, I'm already in the low 90s with a HI just over 100, absolutely awful and impossible to enjoy if not by pool or beach. Cfa
95/74, HI of 106 in Jamaica, Queens. It's days like we've been having where I have to smack myself when people say they love the hot/humid weather. It's beyond oppressive, I'm already in the low 90s with a HI just over 100, absolutely awful and impossible to enjoy if not by pool or beach. The heat doesn't bother me at all, however, I feel similarly when people root for teens and lower with highs around freezing, it's miserable to me but the cold doesn't bother them.
