Northern somerset, morris, bergen and now Westchester all had damage or met severe criteria. a watch doesn't mean everyones going to see something

I can confirm the storm was indeed severe. I hadn't noticed any damage since it was dark but will be driving around to look for any. The winds here were strong enough here to cause damage. This storm was impressive and it takes as a lot for me to say that.

The sea breeze front moved back eastward.

They actually topped off at 98. But at that time there was not one reporting station around them with a temp anywhere close to that. The sun was also an hour and change from sunset. So my question is where did the heat come from to propel LGA to such a high temperature?

92 for me today....day 5 of 2nd heatwave of the year......10th 90 plus day of the year....and I was expecting a lot of clouds today with scattered showers

No model had clouds and scattered storms.

Euro had 0.00" for yesterday and today.

Wednesday and Thursday are the 2 days to watch for widespread convection and rain.

Tomorrow looks like a nice day, similar to today, but an even slighter risk for showers and storms, in my opinion.

I'll be heading down to Jones Beach for the first time this year. Looking like great beach weather at this point.

Wednesday is when things could start getting fairly active again.
