it's funny how this line set up 10 or so miles north of me...the other night the line was directly over me...things are evening out...we went thru a string of 90+ days...10 of 16 in Central park and as much as 14-17 in other places around the city...It doesn't match the hottest periods but it did match the humidity levels...

Hot periods...
6/21-7/14 1966...19 of 24 days 90 or higher...
7/04-7/20 1993...14 of 17 days 90 or higher...
7/29-8/19 2002...17 of 22 days 90 or higher...
7/23-8/17 1944...19 of 26 days 90 or higher...
7/12-7/23 1952...11 of 12 days 90 or higher...
9/23-9/04 1953...12 of 12 days 90 or higher...
7/27-8/13 1896...14 of 18 days 90 or higher...

Yeah Fushing got crushed.

Thankfully, the rain has moved north now. Driving around for work, the roads around Flushing and Bayside were starting to flood moderately.

But rain moved out just in time.

my brother just called from the whitestone expy...cars stranded just south of the bridge.

I live by the Throgs Neck and the Cross island was completely flooded from one end to the other. And the heaviest rain was actually about a mile west of there.

The gradient was very tight. LGA only received about .10". while areas 2-3 miles away received 1.50"+.
