My least favorite part of VT was it wasn't all that hot or humid...booo

That's why we live here. It's been hot and humid, but I guess probably not to West Hartford levels haha.

Awesome evening out...low to mid 70s with lower humidity than past days. Dews hit upper 50s this afternoon so maybe we'll get a min tonight down around that level. Haven't had a dew below 60F in like a week.

oh certainly not near west Hartford lol

I must say though, I love it here...it's so relaxing, the air is clear, and the scenic view is fantastic.  I love coming here once a summer.  And it's beautiful out right now...actually about to put on a jacket b/c it's kind if chilly

Going to be brutal...I am heading back to NYC for work from a country house at 1600' in the Poconos tomorrow. Not happy.

I saw a few hours ago Mount Pocono was 77 while the valleys across the Northeast were in the mid-80's. Just about a 10 degree swing.

Zucker, what were the temps @1600', elevation living is just awesome!

It's still been in the low-mid 80s here for sure, with mid-upper 60s at night...that's really mild for 1600' in the northern Poconos. When I came earlier in June, we had a couple of nights in the 41-43F range. July average is 77/55 here so we are definitely running mild, especially on minimums, though not brutal like the coastal plain.

Nate. But that is the beauty of elevation, you want to escape the brutal heat, have a spot at 2k or 2.5k to escape to in the summer. Heck 1k brings decent relief

For example . Peru mass @ 1.9k had a high of 79 today. I mean yesterday was prolly about as hot as it gets in a ave summer there 84.

We're right on a lake, too, so I dont mind the warmth here as much as in Westchester/NYC area where I spend most of my time. Even though it's not brutal in the Poconos (extra cloud cover over the mountains makes it harder to get past mid 80s), I've still had a fan at night. It's very muggy and these nights are definitely MUCH milder than normal. I remember getting down to 40F here in July 2009 so it can be chilly in summer. The house radiates well and has seen -20F temps in winter.

Whoa did you actually see her then?  I'm surprised Taylor could go anywhere without getting mobbed, lol.

Yes, but we did not know it was her until after we were in the Target.  We saw her in an SUV with and older woman - maybe her mother?

We were behind her, and there was a guy next to us in his car behind another car (2 lanes going into the target lot).  Anyway, it was quite stupid to be honest - We were at a red light - Every time I would inch forward in the van, the dude next to me would look at me and do the same.  It was like we were freaking kids.  I would inch forward, and then he would do it, and so on.  My wife tells me to "stop messing around and watch out for the vehicle in front of us". I was probably 3" from the bumper.  The woman looked in both mirrors, and I said, that she looked familiar.  She parked at Target, and we parked across from her.  I kept thinking I knew her, and recognized the face.  Well, she went in, and we were messing around with something in the van and went in a few minutes after her.  We were only in the store for about 15 minutes, but when we were leaving a bunch of red shirts (target employees) were huddled around the front of the store yapping about something.  We got to the checkout and the cashier girl says in her most chipper of voices, "Did you get to see her?"  I said "Who", and she said, "Taylor Swift".  "She was here for a few minutes but was getting bothered by people so she left".

My best friend works as security for Watch Hill says Taylor is a sweet heart. View from Pauls Pasta in GON, homemade best pasta around. Nice cool breeze off the sound.

Wow, that's so awesome!  Yeah, she was in Watch Hill with her family for the 4th, so that was probably her mom in the car.  I'm surprised she can go anywhere public without a disguise or something.  Oh, what I would give to meet Taylor Swift... next time you'll have to give her my number, lol.

No relief in CT which is what I think we were mentioning WRT Noyes. It was a little better up here and it made a world of difference. It fell into the U60s here before midnight and we had a low of 66F this AM. The house cooled down to a comfy 70-71F. CON did even better with a low of 64F.

Meanwhile, BDL had a low of 73F and every official CT site had a low in the 70s with dews in the 70s.
