Chris--how was camping last weekend?  Was the lake chilly?

Savoy is one of the nicest State Forests I've been to. Campground is at 2k. The pond was great swimming on a warm morning. To our surprise it wasn't at all chilly. There are two ponds near each other, you want the more southern of the two. Once beyon the little roped off area the pond gets deep quickly and relatively weed free. The Mt Laurel was in full bloom too!

There campground is open meadow with clumps of trees and then surrounded by trees on the perimiter so you get a great big sky feel. For long views you have to hike a bit. There are toilets and showers for use in the summer. Also cabins for use in the adjacent camping area.

We've gone swimming up there, but never camping--thanks for the good review.

Not too confident we'll see much in the way of storms today, so might as well just enjoy the sun.  PF might get into some more--he needs it after all.

Dews have been fairly meh here. Lots of low to mid 60s lows with a little break from it with the backdoor a couple days ago. I guess the only thing impressive about it is how early in the season it is. You'd expect this more during the dog days.

Dews haven't been meh for anywhere. This is going to go down as the most humid summer on record with 30-60 days straight of dews above 60.

Amazing how we've emerged from he progged Saharan drought in just six weeks. :)

Dews are ugly, 74/68. Just emptying a truck if wood just now made me a sweat puddle. Now time to run then cut wood. Lots of hydration needed today.

Meh, dews aren't impressive and neither are the temps.

Well, I must be in that extra special high dew zone as I've had the sticky nasty film over my entire body for the past dayze and dayze, and will probably have it for the dayze to come.

Can't stand this type of weather.  Summer sucks overall for me due to heat and humidity as well as being alergic to every tree and weed known to man.  I am currently in the middle of my typical, June legs and arms covered with welts, and scabs period thanks to the constant itching and rubbing.  September and later can't come fast enough.  The sooner everything dies, the better.

Yup anyone that says it hasn't been thickly humid with high dews the last 7-10 days is drunk.

I haven't had a min above 65 here yet. 60-70 dews aren't that bad with temps in the 70s/80s. The 24th and 25th was a little uncomfortable here, but it's Summer. Man up.

 it's always gotta be the most extreme season on record for some type of weather with you. We should bump some of the posts calling for one of the driest and hottest summers on record back in April and the first half of May.

Evolve with the weather, but always make sure it's the most extreme season you've ever had.

68/67 - Dense Fog.

For the past 3 days... with the exception of the early morning thunderstorm yesterday and for a few hours yesterday afternoon - it's been dense fog for the past 72 hours!!

Fog is thick enough to make the leaves and the downspouts drip.
