I find it amazing that there is no coverage of this unseasonably cool weather on the TWC website. Yet, if the temperatures were a few degrees above normal, they would be all over the "heat wave".

They would be all over if it was in the NE or the deep south (Atlanta).

ready for fall?

APX:

ONE MAIN THEME APPEARS OBVIOUS THROUGH THE EXTENDED...TROUGHING
WILL BE THE NAME OF THE GAME OVER THE GREAT LAKES THROUGH THE NEXT
WEEK (AND LIKELY BEYOND...WHY DEVIATE FROM THAT WHICH HAS BEEN SO
STEADFAST THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS). OF COURSE...SMALLER EMBEDDED
WAVES AND ASSOCIATED THERMAL ADJUSTMENTS WILL REMAIN MUCH MORE
TRANSIENT...BUT FOR THOSE LONGING FOR THE DAYS OF TRUE SUMMERTIME
HEAT...THE WAIT MAY BE AN AWFULLY LONG ONE (NEXT SUMMER?).

Wow! Kind of a bold call - last line.

Made it to 62° today. 60/45 right now with some clearing.

GEOS-

The NAEFS is nasty for us...

2013072700_054@007_E1_north@america_I_NA

WITH MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES AND SHOWERS BRINGING COOLER AIR TO THE
SURFACE...THE HIGHS FOR TODAY HAVE BEEN LIKELY REACHED AT BOTH
LA CROSSE /62F/ AND ROCHESTER /61F/. NEW RECORD LOW MAXIMUM
TEMPERATURES HAVE BEEN REACHED AT BOTH OF THESE SITES. THE
PREVIOUS RECORD AT LA CROSSE WAS 69 IN 1981. THIS ALSO TIED JULY 4
1967...JULY 6 1920...AND JULY 20 1912 FOR THE SECOND COLDEST HIGH
TEMPERATURE EVER RECORDED IN A JULY. THE ONLY DAY THAT WAS COLDER
WAS JULY 3 1932 WHEN THE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 61 DEGREES.

Hopefully this means fall is mild...

A lot of of sun, and an overachiever for LAF today...intra hour-ed a 75º. Stupendous day, too bad I had to work.

P & C has a low of 49º for the airport. All in I guess.

I actually hit the driving range today. Haven't swung a club in like 3 years. To my amazement my first shot went like 300 yards and almost totally straight.

300, huh? You're a natural. :D

I'm playing in an outing tomorrow afternoon. Weather should be just about perfect.

Nice. Maybe no more 90s this year!

I'd rather save some of the troughs for November and get some early snow.

59/47 right now.

High today was the average low.

GRR going with a high of 63 tomorrow ( KBTL ) which should blow the doors off the old daily record ( 72 ) and is within a degree of the July record which is 62.

Already down to 58 so there should be none of that midnight high crap screwing with the records.

Ahead of the pace tonight at 10:00pm, compared to recents nights/days that had a sub 60º min temp at LAF.

10:00pm temp/dew and following morning min temp:

7/27...60/49...7/28 min: ?

7/25...65/59...7/26 min: 56

7/24...62/54...7/25 min: 53

7/23...66/58...7/24 min: 54

Also, IKK at 56º at 9:15pm and ARR at 58º at 9:00pm (EDIT: ARR was at 56º at 8:00pm). How low can they both go?

I noticed that IND bumped us up to 50 due to clouds.

A few records in jeopardy for ORD this weekend...

27th low max: 69 (1981)

27th low min: 52 (1985)

28th low max: 66 (1981)

28th low min: 51 (1984)

29th low min: 50 (1984)

Low max for tomorrow and low min for Sun have the best chances at being broken.

Record low max for today was broken...Topped out at 65.
