Chicago Storm

Recommended Posts

We got to 54 with the winds staying up a bit last night, which is why I'm bullish. I'm assuming some periods of calm winds tonight.

Running 4 degrees ahead of last night at this time.

60º at midnight. Winds staying up. Only two degrees ahead of last night. I'll stick with 50º, but wouldn't be surprised if it's only 52º...

Would think our winds would slacken later like what's happening to our north and west right now. Obviously my call is going to be in trouble if that doesn't happen.

54 hourly at both 5 AM and 6 AM. The microclimate heat island that is the LAF bares its teeth.

Ha, LAF usually radiates like a mofo.

Winds eventually went calm overnight, but temps stayed up...53º for the min.

MIE does break 50º, coming in with a min temp of 49º this morning.

Back home, IKK dipped to 48º.

Yeah, I'm surprised we only made it to 53 as winds went calm for quite a while. Still good enough for a record low at the airport.

dp up to 63F...south winds now...

LSE going with 68F on Sat which would be a record...  can't wait.

Any day in the upper 60fs is a winner in my book.  About the most perfect temps for outdoor activities (Hiking, biking, walking)...  Sure swimming is pushing it..but the river must be in the upper 70Fs so you'll just want to stay in the water.

Still can't believe I'm seeing 850mb temps in the mid single digits over S WI, in July. MAV and MET guidance has 55 and 54, respectively, for lows Sunday morning. The record low of 53,on the 28th is the highest record low for MKE. It has a good chance of being broken.

It was ugly..long and jagged pieces...  lost a bunch of fruit off my trees, along with a ton of leaves...  not sure about car damage or roof damage..the next door neighbors were all gone, so not able to see damage locally yet...

That stone is evil looking! I can see some shredded leaves on the ground. Looks like storms around here towards daybreak tomorrow.

Hope you don't see anymore hail tonight!
