THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STERLING VIRGINIA HAS ISSUED A  

 

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...  

SOUTHERN CHARLES COUNTY IN SOUTHERN MARYLAND...  

NORTHEASTERN KING GEORGE COUNTY IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA...  

EASTERN STAFFORD COUNTY IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA...  

 

* UNTIL 415 PM EDT  

 

* AT 345 PM EDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS DETECTED NEAR POTOMAC  

CREEK...AND WAS MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH. THIS STORM HAS PRODUCED HAIL  

UP TO THE SIZE OF PING PONG BALLS AND DESTRUCTIVE WINDS IN EXCESS  

OF 70 MPH.

SOUTHWESTERN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND...  

EASTERN FAIRFAX COUNTY IN NORTHERN VIRGINIA...
