Living just down the street from the Patuxent, there's usually a little bit of fog in the morning for our area. This morning was thick in spots. Not too bad out there this morning, but these recent days make me dream of that first legit fall cold front that will come through the area in late September/early October. That said, I think we've been very fortunate this summer season.

Just got our net and power back.  At 1:20 yesterday we had a very severe storm roll thru.  We got 1.8 inches of rain in 45 mins, had a gust measure 61 mph, several trees topped, one that had taken out our service line attached to the house.  Does anyone have any radar images for southern Page VA county from about noon, till 3pm?  It was one hell of a storm.  I would have taken pics, but the surge took out my wifes charger and battery for her Canon.

I would venture to believe that with the string of pity watches and warnings these past few days, the population is going to start suffering from warning fatigue and will start to zone out.  I really wish they would lay off the alerting.

They day they do that will be the day a tor pop ups and destroys some houses. then, they'll never hear the end of it.

Yup.  Weather people can't win - after last June's derecho, I heard a guy in the office saying the weather people messed up and made up a new term to cover themselves.  I told him "derecho" is not a new term, and we had hours of warning since it covered hundreds of miles.  He said he got no warning, so I asked him where he was all afternoon/evening.  He said by his pool.  Any radio on?  Uh no.  Well how are they supposed to warn you - come door to door?  LOL!

Spc is having some trouble with today. The outlook area changes every outlook.

I am really not sure what to expect. Day 2 0800 yesterday was no SLGT and basically nothing for us. Day 2 1730 back to SLGT and mentions few tornadoes. Day 1 0600 SLGT, but very meh... 1300 ramping back up some a lil
