Lava Rock
Nice photo. We never seem to get skies like that. Even your TS pics are so much more ominous than what i see over here.
eekuasepinniW
I was out spreading fertilizer and stopped to admire it. I'd say it was by far the most intense sunset of the past few years. Lots of people were out front snapping pics.

Allenson
Lots of clouds this morning but no rain. Looks to stay east of here--fine by me. Great photo, Gene. T'was a real beaut. out there last night. tamarack
Only light rain in AUG, maybe 0.1" since I got here about 8 AM, and not a whole lot upstream. The rain field that appeared headed this way 3 hr ago has mostly dissipated, while the more easterly portion got brighter and is soaking the area east of Penobscot Bay. I've recorded over 21" of precip since it learned to rain during the 2nd week of May; more is not needed right now.

Lava Rock
Too bad ... at 0F in Lew-burg it would've been a hell of a snowstorm That's what I was thinking. There would have been some moaning had we expected 2' of snow and ended up with 1". Otherwise, the storm whiffed badly. Only 0.06" in the bucket and skies are clearing. wxeyeNH
Well if nothing else this storm produced 2 nights of beautiful sunsets over much of C/NNE. Got another great shot over Newfound Lake again tonight. By the way on a totally separate subject ABC News tonight reported on 2 Tropical storms gaining strength. Very poor and hype reporting on Dorian. A met came on and said it could threaten the East Coast next week. It has been clear all all day that storm was weakening. tamarack
Storm total was 0.04", though that was sufficient to nudge my July total over 6". Cooper, way down east, had nearly 5" yesterday. Nice and sunny now, dew near 60 would've felt great a week ago, might actually seem humid today.
