Hmm .. pretty sure your wife's name isn't "Winni"

Looking at the PWM record sheet, the 94F recorded today ties the daily record and is also the warmest of this, the warmest month any of us have seen ever..

Not yet.  Thru yesterday, my July avg was tied for 2nd at my current location, but only 0.2F behind #1 and will probably pass that avg with today's temps added.  Next week looks to severely hurt chances of remaining on top.

88.4/69 wind SW 15 gusting to 32mph. high was 89.0F. Have not hit 90F yet this summer, max was 89.4F on the 17th. With so much wind today it felt cooler than last couple of days. Should be very warm night tonight!

Getting forgetful?  :weenie:

Probably the warmest I've ever felt Winni.

I just went for a swim in Newfound Lake and it was actually a bit too warm to be refreshing. Yesterday Lake Winni was 79F which ties its warmest temp. They have not reported today's temp but I would guess it will be 80F which is the warmest its been since records have been kept.

How did I do that? Of course your right. I looked quickly at my graph on weatherlink and it looked like the 16th was the warmest day so I went back and looked at the text for that day. Actually the 15th did get to 90.4F at 4pm. Great catch Scott, only on the this board would someone remember that post! Thanks!!

The source of that data is the Lakeport dam, so I just called the dataphone which still reports 79.  It's recorded in the morning, so we'll know if the lake hit 80 for the first time ever with tomorrows update.

This is ridiculous. It was recorded near the shore so obviously not tell take of the whole lake, but this is beyond weird. Like walking into the water on Myrtle Beach.

Hasnt been been much wind until today to mix it up at all so I beleive it. Need some rain and cool nights. Smallies will be deep if you do any fishing.

97 with an heat index of 102 in BTV. I can't wait for this BS to end! I came here to get away from heat like this.

Man BTV torched today!

97F there at 330ft vs 91F (maybe 92 between obs) at MVL/1V4 which are both in that 700-750 elevation band.

MPV was 89-90 or so at 1200ft.

Another spectacular light show coming up for NNE tonight.  Squall line racing SE into N VT and NH.  Outflow boundary may set up more storms in central sections too.  Either way lots of lightning coming up with perhaps some severe storms too.  Wonder how far south tomorrows squall line will set up?  Hope the front doesn't come through too early so that I miss the heavy rain.

Well that was a crazy ending to the heat wave. I love seeing FB posts from people in Burlington referencing the "tornado" that just went through, lol.

I think 60+ straight line winds are about the same as a tornado in most people's eyes up here haha.

KWS is sending their best guy up for a damage survey.
