bouchard was classic tonite, at 530 pm on twitter , poster askd if there will be storms in merrimack valley. He says "slight chance but they would be in "MUCH" weaker form" on 6pm he said storms not getting much past worcester, stable air here. Seriously?

Any good guesses as to when things might begin popping up?  I'm heading to Bangor at some point later this afternoon and would really hope to have something here before I leave.  Driving during a storm kinda sucks--can't hear too much of the thunder, can't appreciation for the winds, and it's no fun to drive in torrential rain.

What a interesting week this has set up to be.  The storm opportunities are much more impressive than the heat.

Any short wave movi g thru today, is this a deal with more concentration in berks ct river valley? Or is there shot of anything bos metro scott

Weak s/w and warmer temps aloft. However, I don't see a big reason why any convection will weaken considerably heading east. Best shot today is western MA and up through VT and NH, but the activity may sneak in with any outflow boundaries shoved south like yesterday.

@necnweather: Storms develop from early afternoon onward, lingering into the evening & weakening once the sun sets. Some storms may be damaging.

Ugh. Such a dumb expression. Of course storms may be damaging...hell lightning can be damaging from an ordinary cell.
