Voyager
Rain begets rain I suppose. All I managed to get out of this morning's activities was 0.11". Of course, the Lehigh Valley...rain magnet of Easertn PA, picked up 2-4 inches. It's been like that all summer.

LMolineuxLM1
It's been a big on and off day rain wise with 4 good dumps of rain. Don't know my total here but it's very impressive this summer.
famartin
While I was home I replaced the Davis there with a new unit in hopes of better dew point readings (its possible I might've gotten spray paint on the sensor at one point ). Seems to be much closer to the analysis now, still a bit high in the daytime, but given the siting (pool, stream and plenty of trees in the area), that's not likely to be fixable. Not as high as it was though!
LMolineuxLM1
So only a few days to go could make a nice chance to tack an August without a 90 or greater.

noctilucent
We call those "dry thunderstorms" out west. They start fires. Yeah, Ray, I always thought that was more common out West, not so much here, which is why I considered it so odd, especially 2 occurrences. But, 20 minutes AFTER the thunder and lightning.....NOW we have a shower. Still probably will only amount to 1/10 of an inch....

Voyager
Seriously...what's the deal with storms and heavy rain in the Lehigh Valley this summer season? I just took a peek at the radar, and once again, that region looks like it's at least getting a decent rain event this morning. My gauge? 0.14" again. It's all part of the current cycle, adjusting things back to normal levels for upcoming winter like the old days, more snow north (poconos) and less south phl/nj.
