What a miserable raw April like day.

I think the bottom line is that today is NOT like the previous 3-4 days with highs near 90F.

There's no way around it, its like 15-25F cooler right now than it has been at 1pm in prior days.  No one is saying its a winter day, lol.

I don't think anyone expected today to be hot. There was some talk of cooling 50's, and lower dews. That's all. We move on

Man just looking at the SNE temps... colder than I expected in spots as of 12:40pm.  ORH with 66/64 and Woodstock, CT at 66/65.  All Tolland stations right around 69-71F.  If that front wasn't there it'd be like 84F right now.

All the while its in the mid 80s out near ALB.  Who would've thought there was a front in there somewhere?

AWT

Woodstock, CT high temp so far of 69F, currently back at 67F.  My parents said today was certainly the worst day of the week so far in North Woodstock.

Highs in that neck of the woods below 70F must be a decent amount below normal, though yes its not 50s.  But that front definitely pushed through at least NE CT.

Just glancing through the long range, looks like at least some signal for a favorable pattern to advect some higher ML lapse rates into the region after ~7/7. Not necessarily a huge blaring EML signal, but at least something that would raise instability above climo norms.
