ORH 86F. Will they hit 90 today or tomorrow?

Today might be tough, they got up to 87F for a high but have fallen back to 85F at 18z. I actually thought today had a better shot than tomorrow for 90F at ORH because there might be more clouds tomorrow.

How much higher is the temp usually in the city of Worcester than at the airport ? I'm guessing 5-6 degrees

No, its not normally that much difference...that would be a Tolland-esque lapse rate for 400-500 feet and 6F difference. Its usually about 2-3F..sometimes 4F if we have really deep mixing...though of course if you are measuring in an area with a ton of blacktop, then you will get an artificially high reading.

There's been a nice breeze here all day. Today feels much more tolerable than yesterday did here. Actually enjoying it, but dreading to see what the temp in the house is. Gotta be upper 80's.

Actually just checked CON and they have a dew of 62 so that's probably why it feels so much nicer here today. Nice to see the dews get back down in the lower 60's, right where we like them.

yeah not good. S to N training and localized orographic enhancement would lead to monster totals.

BDF came back SW this run too...def gets your area now and probably hugs E MA coast. Not stuck up in Maine...so I think we'll still have to watch that...for at least part of Thu/Fri.

The trough in the lakes with blocking/higher heighs up around Nova Scotia/New Foundland is a bigtime heavy rain signal for us.
