that's what always sells me wife on staying up north. bugs, spiders, poisonous stuff etc that live down there. she'd go south in a heartbeat but i can always trump it with a crazy snakes or spiders the size of basketballs.

I do enjoy visiting there...just can't live there. Besides my brain slowly rotting away if I did live there.....some of the craziest news stories are always out of FL.

The worst part about Florida is the yellow jackets nests...they don't die in the winter there like up here so they become absolutely enormous in size. Very commonly getting over a million wasps in a nest.

At any rate, I've lived in Texas before, but Austin had more of a dry heat in the summer. The spring would be more humid but at least you get rewarded with high end severe weather there.

Lol. We've waited a long time for this. Will must hate it. Not only was I right , but he gets 15+ days in a row of wx he can't stand

I can handle Sultan rains fine...its days like today that stink, but thankfully we only have a few days of it. 73F and overcast/rain is more tolerable.

The gators in florida is the real fun part. All the canals and waterways in and around developments, lots of gators sunning themselves, kev would have to practice running zig zags prior to running down there.

One thing I am concerned with is when we go ill be right in the middle of training for NYC marathon. Will need to understand where I'm running and what to avoid etc

oh yeah my grandparents lived down there while I was growing up , so we would go every year and my mom lived in Bradenton for 4-5 yrs in the early 2000's. that's the last time Ive been down there. We're going to Disney/ Orlando area

A good friend of mine does crossfit in orlando area he works out at 6pm in a warehouse w no A/C just big industrial fans now that is tuff. If your in disney you will have no trouble finding a safe route, but just in case you may want to work in sprints into ur run.

nam has the BD to BOS thursday afternoon....so it's there. will just have to wait and see how it shakes out.

Yeah I'm not convinced we don't get some of that Thursday or Friday...despite "the global pattern not being conductive for it".

Hope those folks that say they don't need a/c in New England can find some relief tonight as the bed turns into a warm bath tub

We were just talking about that...a generation ago, we didnt spend out whole lives in AC so it didnt seem as important to have it...now all cars, public buildings, workplaces have it...so even a marginal day feels uncomfortable.    Some places down here w/o it, mainly older houses....I would never rent a place w/o it....

I still think we'll have E-SE winds here, but we'll see. Maybe CT escapes or something like that..but I'll be surprised if KBOS stays SW right5 through the weekend.

Yeah Thursday and Friday should be light ESE and 70s.

96 hour operational Euro was a complete reversal on what it had just two cycles ago.  When/where it had BD through with implied strata loading and cool murk, it now has a pocket of 18+C at 850mb over SNE, and the pressure tapestry argues for SW flow even into NE Mass!
