LOT...

EVOLVING APEX INTO LEE AND NORTHERN LASALLE COUNTY IS THE MAIN
FOCUS FOR WINDS POTENTIALLY UP TO 80 TO 100 MPH. THE BOUNDARY
MENTIONED IN PREV AFD ON VISIBLE SATELLITE APPEARS TO BE NEAR THE
LEE/BUREAU BORDER AND POTENTIALLY INTO LEE COUNTY. CIRCULATION
THAT HAS SHOWN UP IN LEE COUNTY IS CLOSE TO THIS AND IS JUST NORTH
OF THE APEX...A FAVORED AREA AND HAS A HISTORY BACK TO THE DVN
CWA. THIS AREA NORTH OF THE APEX WILL REMAIN A FOCUS FOR
POTENTIALLY SHORT-LIVED CIRCULATIONS. THE PRIMARY MAIN THREAT
REMAINS HIGH STRAIGHT-LINE WINDS...WITH FAVORABLE MCS PARAMETERS
IN PLACE...INCLUDING A PRONOUNCED MID-LEVEL JET PUNCHING INTO THE
BACK OF THIS WHICH WOULD GIVE CREDENCE TO THIS LASTING INTO AT
LEAST THE WEST METRO IF NOT THROUGH CHICAGO.

Based on consistency and movement, looks like there will be two areas of enhanced wind damage/tornado potential with the meso-voctices...

One from Seward-De Kalb-Elgin. Then a second from SW of Paw Paw to Aurora.

89kts with the Seward meso-vort.

numerous hawks fans will be listening to the game on the radio tonight....

I just remembered that a few mins ago, what timing again. It would have been interesting if the game was in Chicago too.

LOT just posted this image of the shelf crossing the river near the Quad Cities

Wow! That is a mean storm!

Curious to how this stacks up to what the potential was for CHI on June 12? What would this MCS be like with the shear of that day?
