I'd be surprised if this happened two days in a row up here along Rt 2.   That rarely happens.   Usually the axis shifts S for these lingering frontal boundary deals.  That's just my 30 years of living in this area.   

 

Yeah probably an outflow related gust. Dry boundary layer helping lol.

I was just observing the high res vis imagery loop for SNE and it appears that an indirect marine contamination moved N through CT/RI as this convection along Rt 2 and eastern NY was getting organized.  Not outright certain of this, but it might have choked off potential down there.
