ORH_wxman
There certainly have been storms that didn't seem to really need a warning but get one. I agree. It seems to reduce the significance of a severe thunderstorm warning.

It seems to reduce the significance of a severe thunderstorm warning. joey sciarra @joey20021714 Storm in Fairfield Co. looks sub-severe though we can't rule out a dead tree limb falling into someones pool. weatherwiz
Yeah, it's too bad the dews aren't higher, because we had a significant amount of sunshine this morning... Models do show dewpoints increasing later on so we'll see if it happens.
weatherwiz
I agree. It seems to reduce the significance of a severe thunderstorm warning. it is an issue that certainly needs to be addressed. You would think with advanced radar's available now that this would really help the situation, especially in those storms that are marginal and on the line of severe or not. weatherwiz
What time are dews forecast to rise, 4pm or so? Yeah that's what models showed...winds here have turned more westerly at the sfc which further allowed them to mix out. Need to get more SW/S winds in here to start pooling moisture back in

There's a new weather station online in Tolland on Birch Hill Drive, which is a few hundred yards from Kevin. Temp of 86.9 seems a bit high though lol http://www.wunderground.com/weather-forecast/US/CT/Tolland.html
