CT Rain
21z SPC SREF really backed off on potential for tomorrow. Yes everything is pulling the plug. Looks like lapse rates will absolutely go to hell. Meh meh meh.
weatherwiz
Yes everything is pulling the plug. Looks like lapse rates will absolutely go to hell. Meh meh meh. Just have to see where the front is in the AM...models have shown that just ahead and along the front is where the steeper lapse rates will be. If the front is really to our west, I can't see anything less than 6 C/KM. Currently though mesoanalysis has 5.5 over us, but off to our west they are 6-6.5 so we'll see I guess. weatherwiz
Didn't look into detail but NAM is juicy for Cape tomorrow...certainly more robust than models have shown.
weatherwiz
It does have crappy MLcape so I'm assuming it's less than 6 C/KM for lapse rates

weatherwiz
Can we get the storms out of here by 6:00 tonight? I don't think so. I think our timeframe here in CT will be from 3-8 PM, possibly with multiple band of storms, though the initial band would have highest potential for strong to severe storms. Certainly something interesting to watch as that could be a focal point for enhanced lift. Something else to really watch for today are backed winds and increased helicity.
