Yes everything is pulling the plug. Looks like lapse rates will absolutely go to hell. Meh meh meh. 

 

Just have to see where the front is in the AM...models have shown that just ahead and along the front is where the steeper lapse rates will be.  If the front is really to our west, I can't see anything less than 6 C/KM.  Currently though mesoanalysis has 5.5 over us, but off to our west they are 6-6.5 so we'll see I guess.

anyone got any thoughts down this way-certainly juicy enough-Upton AFD talks about a vort in the DELMARVA area affecting us too....

 

yeah models show a piece of energy moving northward from the mid-Atlantic during the afternoon hours.  Certainly something interesting to watch as that could be a focal point for enhanced lift.  

 

Something else to really watch for today are backed winds and increased helicity.
