How's 11pm BDL landing look?

I was on that flight yesterday and we landed at BDL 35 minutes late as we had to fly around all of the severe weather near Chicago. The pilots hung a left out of DEN and we went quite a ways north before finally bending more toward the east. As I didn't have GPS or anything, I don't know how far north we actually went.

I was hoping to arrive on time as we only left the gate 17 minutes behind schedule and with a tail wind, I thought we'd make up the time.

Check out the smoke down toward Colorado Springs. It sort of looked like an approaching t-storm it was so dark.

Funny you should say that because I just looked on flightaware and our updated flight path takes us into Quebec lol

Really surprised how far north this made it... especially considering we were wondering if it would make it to the Pike due to the confluence and some of the southerly model runs.

I have been under some of those yellow echos in Central NH. Radar has looked impressive but so far only .11"!!!

Not sure why they'd go that far north as it's definitely longer than the shortest great circle distance from DEN to BDL. I thought they were doing it to avoid the weather in the Midwest yesterday, but maybe not as the Midwest is quiet today. It may have something to do with air traffic issues instead. Barring any other delays, you should be at BDL around midnight.

Anyway, as to not derail this thread, 1.2" of rain here so far.
