adelphi_sky
I would say I experienced gusts no higher than 40. Definitely on the tail end of the MoCo storm further north.

The Dude
Quick hitter here in Downtown. Nice gust front came through like a freight train. Below are pics from my roof at work. There was a bit of a lowering out in front of the gust front. It was a bit east of the notch on the radar.

Sparky
I still hear rolling thunder and I am not even close to the main action. But the hail I got this morning was amazing.
WEATHER53
Daughter was right in middle of it at route 100 and I-95. Says a narrow grey cloud came all the way down to the ground, sky was so green that almost became purple, blinding rain, zero visibility, all traffic pulled off the road, got lucky on the winds I think as she said car shook some but she never felt like it was going to flip. kas80
Chesapeake Beach gets an amazing dry slot over it for pretty much every storm. Areas to the south and north of us get hit but splits over us, very curious about this one. So far just rolling thunder and a couple of wind gusts (no worse than normal being right on the bay). This morning we got about 5 minutes of pouring rain and no thunder nor wind.
clueless
It was 67 right after the storm. Now I am up to 71/68.
Herb@MAWS
Worst of it has moved east of Columbia. Great sky as storm moved in, vivid lightning, wind gusts, temp dropped from 89 to 76, and 0.64" of rain in about 25 mins. with lighter rains now wrapping up. gymengineer
Two large trees down on 18th in Dupont a few blocks from eachother. One looks hollow but prob some 60+? I was out in Dupont on 17th St during the derecho last summer and that neighborhood actually was pretty unscathed by the derecho compared to a few blocks north driving out of the city. Did you take pictures? Those pictures of trees down in the neighborhood streets are always pretty neat because of how narrow the patches of grass are.
