Now lets see if it maintains through the Metro area. I suspect it will weaken suddenly around me lol. 

Warning text has 70mph winds in it. 

 

Very southern tip of the storm just hit here.  Some strong gusts, but nothing really unusual.  The clouds to my north (towards Ashburn) look wild, though.

TWC has live chopper footage of the TOR warned storm, from WRC-TV.  Does look like rotation, but nothing on ground

This storm was always a part of that northern end of the bow back in WV - never really lost that feature of having a bit of spin but nothing significant.

* AT 341 PM EDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A  

TORNADO WAS NEAR NORTH POTOMAC...OR NEAR GAITHERSBURG...AND WAS  

MOVING EAST AT 45 MPH.  

 

* LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...  

ROCKVILLE...  

ASPEN HILL...  

OLNEY...  

COLESVILLE...

AT 341 PM EDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO  

WAS LOCATED NEAR CALIFORNIA...OR NEAR LEXINGTON PARK...AND WAS MOVING  

EAST AT 50 MPH.  

TRAINED SPOTTERS HAVE REPORTED ROTATION NEAR ROUTE 235 AND  

HARMONVILLE ROAD. A TORNADO MAY FORM AT ANY TIME.
