Subtropics
Here we go again. Calling bust before 10am Going to stick with SPC with this one until the fat lady sings!
Subtropics
Not calling bust but there are a lot of clouds to the west Sun angle this time of year is the best it will be just about. Sun will burn right through those clouds in no time, book it.
Bodhi Cove
Well that rolled through quickly.
WxUSAF
Meh. Light rain, couple thunder claps. New line formed on the outflow boundary east of I-95.
ThePhotoGuy
Just some rain, light winds, and thunder & lightning. Not severe levels at all.
Scuddz
Not calling bust but there are a lot of clouds to the west You can already see the back edge eroding. We're not like to reach the low 90s but I'm not overly concerned with cloudcover quite yet.

clueless
Timing of this front and how fast it would giddy up was always the issue. Bright side we could lose the humidity for a day after it rolls through.

Yeah last few frames have looked better. Nobody should be calling bust (not saying Ian was) but still may turn out to be not all that bad later on. nieciez
It's getting darker and clouds are moving in with thunder, though radar doesn't look that bad down here.
MN Transplant
That thing fizzled just as it got here. Boom, shower, boom, drizzle. There was a nice pocket of VIL, but I think it passed between our houses, just south of 50. Probably where the heaviest rain fell. Guess I can't be too disappointed about the lack of rain, since the little bit pushed me above 5" for the month.

Eskimo Joe
exactly...there's already new convection forming right behind the stratiform region (which as mentioned is pretty quickly eroding...) Looks like the second line will miss DC metro to the south.

I'd take some reasonable rains with nice wind and lightning - no need for torrents of rain. Looking forward to the derechoes later.

chris87
Looks like the second line will miss DC metro to the south. yeah it'll be close...but the stuff developing in northern WVa probably has the best shot --- storms back in OH will surely go south of the metro. AmericanWxFreak
Could residual boundaries fire some homegrown storms prior to the activity out west moving in?

eyewall
This morning line definitely threw a wrench in. This is not the highest confidence Moderate for sure. As they said it remains to see if round 2 survives the Apps or if new convection fires in the Lee later. Obviously yesterday didn't quite pan out as expected either up in the Lakes/OH Valley. I am wondering if Lake MI factored into that.
