Well 65 kts is significant severe, so it's really just the point that sig. severe is a strong possibility.

If there's any good news for the moment in Chicago, the boundary has made a decent surge south. Now cleared MDW and even as far S/W as LOT and DPA there has been a wind shift. Could surge back north though in the coming hours.

Yeah, storms crossing the boundar will enhance for a time. I think that may be the reasoning for PDS Severe in CHI itself with the expansion of a few counties by LOT to the PDS TOR. 

 

Rockford cell the big issue for the moment. Just waiting for an evident TDS almost.
