Yeah looks like the heat comes in next week, but like Phil said, ridge retros west and a rather stout trough develops in the OV. However, it may mean fropas with shwrs/tstms and perhaps a rather "wet" pattern? If this trough develops as is..would probably open up the door to humidity prior to any fropa, but we are getting out there. Hopefully we can grab some drier days with any fropa.

yeah i haven't looked too much but i do wonder if the timing works out if we could manage a good severe outbreak sometime middle of next week? looks like a pretty strong NW flow by mid-week or so as the ridge breaks down shifts back west.

also...possible NW to SE moving MCS saturday or sunday?

Yeah something may move through the region or perhaps the MA this weekend. I didn't even look at it, but there are signs of some sort of EML trying to break loose off the Rockies and moving east at 700mb next week. Gotta always look out for something with westerly torch flow aloft.

yeah i thought about that...seeing it modeled over NYS/SNE now, makes me think it may end up further S.

reading all the stuff about above below average, one can get a better feel how a month is going by looking at graphical plots, you can see the abnormalities and what the dominant feature of a month is . Numbers get skewed and throw off stats and people throw numbers around as representative, just not the case.

16 days in a row without an above normal day in the interior for long-standing VT sites like MPV (-2.2 this month) and 1V4 (-3.2 this month).

i wonder what he did, other than the incessant trolling of BSE!!! i didn't notice any thing ban-worthy. i may have missed something

There is light hearted ribbing and then nasty trolling. Some of the best trolls know how to push the trolling limits without breaking the "official" rules. It's probably not permanent, but I think both sides need a break for a little while. Enough was enough and it became a scratchy, broken record.

That's all I'll say on the subject, but I'm not going to have a discussion about it on the weather side. If someone has an issue feel free to PM me or one of the staff and we can discuss it there.

Don't know if I'll get kicked out of here or not but here goes.....Lol  I'm a SE forum poster (mostly lurk, rarely post) but am traveling to Lubec, Me, this Friday and will be there for 8 days!  Sorry for an imby question that really isn't imby but in Maine......anywho, I'm running a Marathon this Sunday there and most forecast guidance shows temps really on the rise but it looks like right along the SE coast of Maine temps should hold in the 60's???  Not familiar at all with the climate there and was wondering if someone could give me a heads up as to what it looks like in that region for this weekend.  I'm guessing the cool ocean water helps temper the temps right along the coast?  Thanks in advance!!

Definitely going to be cooler there..probably 60s to near 70 or so? Also, if we have an increase in humidity, there may be low clouds and fog moving in off the cold ocean waters. Probably will be good running wx up that way.

Thanks really appreciate that response!  And as Wx Hype pointed out high dp's is not best distance running but if temps hold in 60's I might survive!  Looks like will not have to go too far inland to see temps in the 80's.....seems a tad warm for up there.

Thanks!  Running the Inaugural Bay of Fundy International Marathon.....into Canada and back.  And it's my first full ever, so yeah temps/dew points have been a concern.  Good luck with NYC in Nov...... I'll return to my southern forum and go back to lurking! Lol
