That was a hideous night, I hope all the frigid fairy rain lovers got out and pranced around in the cold droplets!  Thank God the misery is over, this weekend is as good as it gets, sunshine and near 80.

The countdown has begun, only one week until summer!

The fact that summer hasn't officially started yet is what is also keeping me at peace. Once solstice comes around though I'll get impatient real fast if I don't see temps above 80. I want summer of 2011 back.

06z GFS still tried to bring in some more summer-like heat next weekend...however eith the Euro and its ensembles basically ditching the idea, and the pattern of repeating troughiness over our region ever since the first couple days of the month, you'd have to favor them over the GFS. Still, it remains an outside possibility.

do we end up with clouds (and showers??) during the 2nd half of sunday - at least c and w SNE? GFS looks wet, CMC is.

Euro was wet too...but it looked like it held off more toward late afternoon and evening.

We can't seem to buy a severe weather outbreak around here either. What a boring pattern for svr... cool synoptic rain lovers have been loving it though.

This has been one of the quietest starts to severe season in a while around here. Even 2009 had that pretty widespread Memorial Weekend outbreak before we went into the freezer for most of June.

Monday/Tuesday was showing some mild potential but its not looking as good now.

About 70% of our heating is through wood, so I need to continually maintain the supply.

It takes so much time.  There's many other projects around the house that need to be done but for some reason i'm always making firewood....except this past rain week from hell when I did nothing

Right near the Chaplin Fire House on Rt 198, the bridge over the Natchaug river ; been told some of  the best swift water Kayaking places in CT, with good class 4/5 rapids; especially after the last 10 days
