+2 on the day

Another frigid day in this steady above normal regime LOL

11 out of the past 15 days have been above normal here, with 3 double digit + departure days to ZERO double digit negative days.

Shawl?

-12 on the high yesterday at 61F...

-7 on the high today with 66F...

Normal high is 73F and out of the next 7 days, the NWS has us exceeding that once with a high of 75F on Monday. All other 6 days are forecast to be below normal daytime temperatures.

Still saying "no chance" for any SNE stations below normal through mid-month?

I trust your judgement and forecasting ability, so wanted to make sure.

Just checked and for here 8 out of the last 9 days have been below normal.

The one day that wasn't below normal was a whopping +1 due to warm overnight. 10 out of the first 12 days have all had below normal high temps.

About 25 miles away at MPV they are at -1.2 on the month only 2 out of the first 12 days of the month were above normal.

So far, the days so far in June have been:

17-25% above normal depending on station.

75-83% below normal.

8 out of the last 9 below at ORH...which was proclaimed "the new torch spot in SNE" a few months ago. They were +11 3 days into the month and now 9 days later its almost all gone with tomorrow/Friday looming.

If I get some time in the next couple days I want to run the high temp departures...I bet that says a colder story as I've noticed in the last 9 days its been the lows that are keeping the departures from absolutely falling off.

We've had a ton of days up here with like -12 for the high but like +4 for the overnight temp with clouds/precip....so the daily ends up -4 but during the time most people are awake and active, it feels much colder than the numbers show.

OT, but does anyone know about spider types ?

I have a big, yellow-beige (more beige) spider that has about a 2 and a half inch leg span, and a brown stripe down its back, living in/around my Hosta next to my front steps.  I moves lightning fast when perturbed.  I have seen in hanging from a single web strand beneath my front light, descending down. It's creepy and quite large. I don't believe it is dangerous but I can't find it on the web.

Yup -- got to those sites too. None of those match the description.  May have to break down and photo the darn thing.  But it's a pain in the ass because my video camera has about 13 complicated steps I have to relearn to get a photo onto my home PC, whereby I can then upload it to anywhere, and my phone is stupid flip top.

john also that radar look over maine/nh screams confluence to me, i mean if this was winter and we had N RI to BDL on northern edge of 1+ qpf i would bet heavly against that much fallin with confluence, maybe i'm off my rocker but i think unless the confluence high tails it this is a SW SNE deal w big gradient.
