Bostonseminole
80/61 split on the day here Dews were awesome, still craving the low to mid 70 variety though. +3 on the day The drumbeat is getting louder for a warm to hot pattern starting next week ensuring another above normal month. . powderfreak
UConn with a 2.00" storm total and over 7.00" so far this month: http://137.99.85.41/weather/ Yeah saw HFD was around 2" in the last 24 hours, too. Its only June 11th, too. Going to be a wet month. Happy B'day by the way.

I think the Nor'easter will easily erase the positive departures. I'm not sure we get out of the 60s Thursday through Saturday and we should get some chilly nights after the low passes. I could easily see June finishing below normal if we don't close with a heat wave.
powderfreak
Last 8 days have averaged below normal (at least in the interior) with a half a foot of rain. The whole above normal month thing is irrelevant at this point...there is no one in New England that is thinking, "wow its been a warm month so far".... lol. This is one of those cases where you look at the departures and its completely different from the general public's opinion on how the month has gone so far. Most folks up here have already forgot about the heat from the first two days of the month, and all you hear right now is how awful this month has been with cold daytime temperatures and lots of rainy/murky days. powderfreak
+3 on the day Noticed you didn't post the rest of the usual ones in SNE... As of the 5pm climate summaries... ORH...-7 (-12 on the high) BOS...-5 (-11 on the high) BDL....-3 (-9 on the high) Given some of the cold daytime highs lately (some of these rainy days are only held up by mild overnight mins), it wouldn't surprise me if the daytime highs are below normal for the month now. The departures seem to be gained from the overnight lows, which goes a long way to the "real feel" of the month.

SJonesWX
Complete doom and gloom failure as I thought. Not a bad place to work, plenty of sun and luxurious humidity!!!! Truly the most wonderful time of the year. full on doom and gloom here. it stopped raining for a couple hours, and when the skies brightened the temp shot up from 58 to 60. fantastic As of the 5pm climate summaries... ORH...-7 (-12 on the high) BOS...-5 (-11 on the high) BDL....-3 (-9 on the high) yeah i don't know what CON was, but IMBY high today was 60. that has to be well below normal. There have been 8 double digit positive departure days combined at the big 4 to on single - doube digit departure day that was at ORH. We had the heat to close out May and open June. BOS is +3.2 on the month others around +1 I guess did not look. I was simply stating what happened where I live, that it was a plus 3 day and 81/60 split, thats all not a commentary on Northern Vt or anywhere else for that matter. I think it warms up big time later next week, and also think the month ends up on the + side, if thats funny...........so be it. Have a great night! Its a beauty here temp down to 72 nice breeze and retreating dews after a steamy day HERE. Rock on:)

OceanStWx
What is KDP? Lower left, specific differential phase. Basically, water shifts energy spectrum more than air, so higher numbers mean more liquid water in the target. Great for identifying heavy rainfall.
