moneypitmike
The pattern may relax a bit near the end of the month and we may warm...but the overall H5 features are there to keep troughs coming SE. Maybe it turns in July. Almost sounds like the posts in December where folks are wondering when the winter chills and snows may arrive. Times when Eric posts his lemmings .gif in response to all the bridge-jumping by winter enthusiasts. I wonder if I'll get out of the 50's today. Cureently, 53.0/52. moneypitmike
Just read the 4:00a.m. flood watch that shows additional rainfall of .5-1.5 through this evening. Didn't expect there to be that much on the high end. 52.8/

Ours was cancelled twice already. last week and they rescheduled it for yesterday and it was cancelled again. So now they don't get one. I just don't understand how people enjoy this wx in summer..It ruins everything Well that sucks. It seems like the weather gods might keep things on for Thursday. Hopefully (or hopefully not) the weather will cooperate for a lunchtime run. Trying to get back into the swing of things with the Bridge of Flowers race coming up the second Saturday of August. All the rain aside, we've been able to get a nice weekend last week with another seemingly on tap for this week. So, if we can keep the weekends nice, I'm good with that. Heavy mowing in store with all these rains. I wonder when I last needed to use a hose....... .32" on the day, 1.67" on the storm.

I don't think you'd find many that agree that it's been a great pattern. We had 2 nice days on the weekend sandwiched in with several rainy days last week, and 4 rainy days this week. It makes summer outdoor activities impossible. You can't get sports in, you can't swim..you can barely find a time when your yard is dry enough to mow. This pattern blows. The only saving grace is the weekends. One good last weekend..and a nice one this weekend. Nice tosee the Euro back off on the coolness too
MainePhotog
I love this pattern. Would love to see this last through the summer months. Rainy, cool, with an occasional day where the temps are in the 60's with low dews and sunny, blue skies.

The only thing that's keeping me from enjoying the rainy wx is that my best camera rig is in the shop. Will have it back on Friday.

I've been surprised in the years I've lived here how the heat tends to stay away. The typical afternoon breezes further limit the summer heat. Baroclinic Zone
I'll take a wet period in summer over a dry period. Does not bother me one bit since I'm working during the day. Weekends have been fine which works out. Soccer tryouts were held indoors ftw and will likely tonight as well and possibly Thurs. 7.26" mtd at TAN & EWB.
