Yea, apparently some of the lower east course holes get pretty wet easily, so the contingency was the west course holes.
Maximum lawman
I'm there Wednesday, looks glorious, breezy and mild. Sunday too, maybe hot. End of the long range looks firey.

Quakertown needs snow
merion on www.wgt.com , the best online golf game ever. i played over the weekend, yikes!
Harbourton
Here's the deal. With the soft conditions at Merion low scores will be shot by the technicians - Luke Donald etc. Not sure if the greens will get fast and hard enough to bring out the full strength of the course. Sunny and Warm
so how much did Ardmore get yesterday, and how much can they expect to get on Thursday? That course can't handle much more water.

Wonderdog
So should I make the trip from NOVA to Merion on Thursday or should I just eat my ticket?
Sunny and Warm
So should I make the trip from NOVA to Merion on Thursday or should I just eat my ticket?why wouldn't you go. NOVA to Ardmore is a minor trip compared to the spectacle of the US Open. I've been to the US Open and to regular tour events. They are not similar. It's a chance to see history being made. Prepare for the rain, but hope for better. You may be surprised.

adk
Looks like that line segment is blowing through fast. That's good. I really don't see a ton of big convection following this afternoon. And if you eat your ticket you should kick yourself. This is historic. The rain ain't that bad. They will play all day. Players will be making absurd shots on a soft wet course. Or they will be in the thickest, gnarliest rough ever and not get the ball out. Either way. GO. I'll be there saturday.

Harbourton
Merion is more than holding its own. With the wet weather the course has been playing about as easy as possible. Can you have a US Open that less than 7000 yards? The answer is an unequivocal YES! The old Philly courses stand the test of time 1 2 Phil Mickelson -2 +1 6 67 - - -
LMolineuxLM1
The course held up great with all the water it took on, kept things interesting and in check, made it a real challenge.
