jm1220
The rain is definitely heavier than radar suggests at times as well, due to the smaller raindrop size. It just absolutely pours when we get under the yellow/orange echos.

I think we could hit 4-5'' once that last batch comes through later.

B-Rent
Picked a crappy day to visit NYC. We've been all around mid town today, working our way downtown. Heaviest rain I've seen in a while. The wind ruined one umbrella. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk

There must have been basements that got some water with that much rain in such a short amount of time.

There must have been basements that got some water with that much rain in such a short amount of time. Screen shot 2013-06-07 at 9.01.23 PM.png There were flooded basements on my streets. The homeowners were out with hoses and pumps trying to bail them out. Luckily I don't have a basement, so no worries for me. Laurelton from Hudson north was completely under water, and people moved their cars up onto front yards and high spots to avoid the water.
nzucker
HPN up to 2.04", I think I've had a bit more here in Dobbs Ferry. Was out working a delivery shift and experienced some periods of torrential rain about 15-20 minutes ago. Looking forward to the core coming through, that should be interesting... The core area comes through after midnight, looks like. I think most of us have another 1-2" or so of rain left.
