Wow, and probably 1-2" left to fall from the back end. Long Beach was a disaster zone earlier with rescues, stalled out cars and flooding earlier, glad it calmed down at least for now.

National and Park always floods in these torrential rainfall events. There must have been basements

that got some water with that much rain in such a short amount of time.

There were flooded basements on my streets. The homeowners were out with hoses and pumps trying to bail them out. Luckily I don't have a basement, so no worries for me. Laurelton from Hudson north was completely under water, and people moved their cars up onto front yards and high spots to avoid the water.

Just when you think you are on the edge of the rain more develops it prob wont let up before the core comes thru

The convergence zone and front keeps trying to spark it back up. The core area comes through after midnight, looks like. I think most of us have another 1-2" or so of rain left.
