Cool. My dogs would be losing their sh@.

That little boomer cell that just went through was the real deal. just before it got sooper soupy then the wind came up with the outflow boundary then Bang! Torrential downpour followed 5 minutes later by one last blast of wind then more soup. Steam is coming off everything right now and it's just running off the trees. Looks great, sounds great, feels like poop. time to go for a sunset ride, my bike is lonely...

Hey Darkstar... long time no see.

It looks like March outside today... fog like soup.  finally got around to mosquito truck spraying in between the rain up here...so now we can spend a few minutes outside without getting eaten alive.

i dunno about this mountain living.  we'll give it awhile longer, i really think we need to 'embrace' nature instead of trying to kill it or keep it out.  just not sure how to do that without hugging a bear.

looking forward to snow.  might just be two months away i hear....

Good Day folks,

Looks like a terrible heat wave will affect the area starting Monday :

We have been in the fog all day on the ridge line. Not sure if this is the case in the valley.

Hoping for an early fall this season.

Cheers,

Darkstar.

Here's mom.   Keep in mind my driveway is about thirteen feet wide.  She takes up half the width.

That's a big, healthy looking one. Keep your garbage cans secured! Lol

Couple of years ago my sister had one that kept trying to break in her back door. Her property borders Sterling Forest park down here in Monroe.

I saw it one day when I was over there and had to chase it off. 2 weeks later when bow season started her neighbor shot it- 640 lbs.

I would say yours is easily as big.

Wow...haven't had any trying to break in yet.  Down here in Jersey, the police will come and tag it for trying to break in..three times and then they shoot.

There's no such thing as a secure garbage can in my neighborhood.  We keep the trash and drive it to the dump ourselves.  I have seen bears walking down the street here, carrying trash cans like lunch boxes.  haha.  It doesn't help that I'm at the end of a cul-de-sac with woodlands on two sides and a nature preserve on the third.

Wow thats impressive! My total for the event was 5.13"

Hows the Wallkill looking like?

I was surprised at how quickly the Wallkill jumped up. I guess I shouldn't be surprised seeing how much rain fell but the heaviest stuff was somewhat localized. It wasn't liked it rained like that along the whole upstream area.

Most of the heavy stuff stayed north of 84.. As I was driving to work yesterday on 17 the rain rapidly decreased in intensity once I got to the Chester/Monroe area.
