moneypitmike
Decent rain thus far, but I should be NW of the heavier areas when all is said and done. At least it's warmed up into the 50's. 50.2/48, 1.28".

powderfreak
One more question, timing of heaviest rain? Looking at radar it would seem like now through midnight will be the most impressive time...maybe like 6-10pm for best rates in SNE?

Quincy
Maybe Eastern Ct spared with the splitting of precip? 18z NAM shows the "dry-slotting" but then comes right back with another intense band of rain for the entire state. End result, verbatim, is fairly uniform precipitation totals:

dendrite
Yeah but I don't use the electronic gauge for my records so I don't want to play around calibrating it. That being said, how many other electronic gauges are not calibrated? Not sure, but I haven't seen many off as much as yours is. Sounds like you just need to make an adjustment to the cal screws to get more frequent tips.

Typhoon Tip
3" in that band, in one hour, over western LI!!! Nice -- Flood warnings now... anticipating that activity passes into our region, with already 1.5" in general for most locations prior to it's arrival. Which could bring totals upwards to 4 or 5" by midnight! Yeah, can see that pushing smaller tributaries over farm land and prone business fronts... maybe. Also, rad and sat confirms this should really wind down ...or perhaps lull, around midnight. Dry slot punch N pretty fast... I wonder if the dry slot slows down and start shifting more ENE -- that's possible too.

Typhoon Tip
Can someone explain why the KBOX rad storm totals are so hugely under what has actually occurred? It has .1 to .3" total for FIT, yet the obs show .99" since this began ... probably already clicked over an inch at that, too. The header on the product says it is between 2:49pm yesterday and just a few minutes ago, too.
