TalcottWx
We took off about 45 minutes after that last post. Moderate rain was falling with fairly frequent lightning. We climbed up east over the Atlantic, and about 2-4 minutes after take off we hit some pretty serious turb. Plane was literally shaking hard, we had to dropped or risen hundreds of feet in the storm when were were a couple thousand feet up. It was pretty cool but had a lot of people yelling on the plane. CoastalWx
Just because the pattern is favorable doesn't mean we'll definitely get a hurricane... Patterns change. It's a matter of luck getting something here. Of course every year we could get a storm.

SlantStickers Anonymous
storm number 1 if it makes it? http://www.wunderground.com/tropical/tracking/at201398_ensmodel.html Even if the system made its way here, from what I've been reading it doesn't sound like it would have much chance of being hurricane strength. Maybe some sultan rains? Not like I won't be watching it every step of the way though lol, TCs can be full of surprises.
N. OF PIKE
I shouldnt have said no chance, if the system can stay south and some smart peeps say if the ridge to the north doesnt erode it could develop a bit and not curve nw. We shall see

N. OF PIKE
On mobile just saw TD 4 . Hope its circulation is sizeable and some swell can trickle n in 5-7 days. Hopefully the storm has some nw motion arround day 5+
IsentropicLift
On mobile just saw TD 4 . Hope its circulation is sizeable and some swell can trickle n in 5-7 days. Hopefully the storm has some nw motion arround day 5+ The first thing to note is that it should make it all the way west to at least the islands if it holds together. Then one would expect a NW motion once it reaches the Bahamas depending on the excact strength and location of the WAR.
