Can One Go Wrong With a Hot Summer Outlook?

believe it or not this July will be the least warm (better word choice than coolest lol) since 2009. Probably come in around 80.7 for the month, which ties for 10th warmest on record, but it's cooler than 2010-2.

you can thank the overnight lows for that. This summer hasn't been hot at all, its just the overnight lows. It was the same in the winter of 2009-2010 which was above normal because of the warm nights.

we were below average that winter by about a degree and a half on the current norms.

yea you are right. I thought that year had warmer nights due to wind and cloudy nights, but looking at the stats it wasn't like that. It's funny though, allentown finished the year basically normal, while phl was a good bit below. Obviously snowfall played a role in that.
