A-L-E-K
lake breeze moved in…we might have hit 79-80. Dew still very low. Looks like the best deep moisture is getting a little hung up to the south across Iowa.
daddylonglegs
80?! We set ours at 75 tops I use a window AC and i just set it to the lowest setting and let it run non stop
Geos
DLL - your power bills last summer must have really been something then! Up to 81/64 now. Feels like a typical June day. Cottonwood seeds drifting all over the place.
Jonger
If we can get through this day without hitting 80 it would be 2 weeks without a high over 80. Looks unlikely to happen over the next 5 days, this was our best shot.

LizardMafia
Should be the first 90º+ temp of the year for LAF tomorrow. Many more to come. IND showing a headline of mid 90s, with Heat Index of low 100s..
Chicago WX
IND showing a headline of mid 90s, with Heat Index of low 100s.. Mid 90's for temps? That's bullish. My current p&c has a high of 90º...that to low 90's seems like a good bet, barring any unforseen cloud issues.

Chicago WX
http://www.crh.noaa.gov/news/display_cmsstory.php?wfo=ind&storyid=95334&source=0 Ok then. The graphic they show is "apparent temperature"...and their latest graphical forecast (made at 2:40pm) for high temps tomorrow is 88-92º across the CWA. Anyway, under on a mid 90's high temp for LAF...even the witch doctor isn't going that high.

Chicago WX
Hey Mottster, how much rain did you get late Sunday/early Monday? I drove down to Carmel yesterday to play golf, and on the way, there were some fields near your area that were full of water. LAF shield up today, storms just miss to the north...then develop just to the east. Some crappy luck here lately.

daddylonglegs
Had the dew point climb to 67F today...which I think is the highest so far this year... Sure feels more like summer.

wisconsinwx
Hit 90 at LAF. 88/72 at 6:00pm. And storms will miss well to the north. Awful. You really have to move north, and not really that far. A place like Gary or Benton Harbor, Michigan would do much better for your preferences in summer. Here it has been a terrific June so far in terms of comfort. Only one or two sticky nights, and even the warm days have had cool periods even during the daytime. The forecast is looking good as well, no 80s or 90s in sight at this moment.
