frostfern
Latest slight risk by the SPC mirrors that thought I'd venture to guess. I don't know. It's just annoying how I got screwed out of a good light show every single day this week. The whole period just hasn't panned out at all for the western side of the state. csnavywx
At work (in Hartford, IL) pulling a double. Had the tornado pass just south of here. Couldn't see it with all the damn rain, but you could see the power flashes We were close enough that you could feel the building being pulled on by the intense circulation. Absolutely tremendous lightning display. The storm had a classic HP supercell look when it was coming in with almost a mothership-type saucer shape. wisconsinwx
I think LAF is squarely in the sights of this derecho, looks to be moving ENE and orienting itself to move more NE if anything. Surprised the severe warnings aren't more than 60mph gusts given the intensity with the classic comma head.
