Chicago WX
If this doesn't develop south into LAF, then attention turns to the area around STL to see if it can develop further north. Might be a LAF split. One line north, one line south.

A-L-E-K
Are you still sticking to your guns on that call? We didnt heat up nearly like we were suppose to. Been stuck under times of clouds, and some sunshine. Currently sitting at 75/70 air is definitely moist. My timing was off...I think you'll get some solid storms later but severe threat is obviously maximized to the southwest. I mentioned Vandalia yesterday and I know a bunch were talking about the STL area. I think the area under the gun was pretty well scoped out. Things became increasingly conditional as you went north and it looks like the C-U might split the uprights.

Indystorm
Not sure where the NWS office is but I noticed the last warning was issued by Kansas City...they either have power problems or are taking shelter. The St. Louis WFO is west of the city by St. Charles. I assume they took cover when the warning was first issued for Defiance which is near them. Anyway, looks like the stuff moving through the STL area will be wide south by a good margin. Hopefully we at least get a crack or two of thunder out of this later.
