Indystorm
Low level helicity is still high in se MI....on the order of 300-350 m2/s2. I certainly think that helped those cells produce.

nwohweather
Very similar tornado to the one that struck south of Toledo in 2010. Here is a picture of it and you can see to it's right a satellite as well
SpartyOn
It's making me worry about any discrete cells that can get going on the WAA wing of the MCS. The low level inversion should inhibit that.
nwohweather
Looks like that line may be falling apart. Still warm and muggy here, however lower CAPE and higher CIN the farther east it comes so I'm doubtful on this but who knows
Stebo
The low level inversion should inhibit that. Except we don't have an inversion and it is still 75 degrees outside.
Hoosier
Possible building collapse with people trapped west of Grand Blanc MI with that earlier tornado.
andyhb
Friday is looking potentially major on the 00z GFS for IL. 70+ kt H5 max with 2500-3000+ J/kg of uncapped SBCAPE and some pretty crazy looking low level wind fields.
L.B. LaForce
Except we don't have an inversion and it is still 75 degrees outside. Yep, was just going to say, boundary layer has yet to decouple.
SpartyOn
Except we don't have an inversion and it is still 75 degrees outside. Id be shocked to see discrete sups develop ahead the MCS at this time of day. Heck its possible and we might have seen it happen once before. But the loss of daytime heating is a factor. Id be more worried about that MCS and its associated bow.

Hoosier
00z DTX had MLCAPE near 1000 J/kg, 0-3km SRH in excess of 500 m2/s2 with very nice veering with height. I'm not gonna speculate on the intensity of what went through the area (tornado-wise) but that kind of environment could've supported something strong.
