JoMo
Will be interesting to see what happens when the Smith Co. tor warned storm is impacted by the northward moving 2 cells to its south. I think I read on this board somewhere that one met thought a similar impact from another storm gave the Moore storm enough curvature to drop the tornado and another storm impacting it at the end caused the RFD to help the meso occlude. Gotta say, the timing of that couplet/tornado was suspiciously timed with that cell to the south merging with the tornadic cell (even if it was on the front of the cell). The paper written after the Pierce City tornado noted that cell merges lead to an uptick in rotation before the merge happens followed by a weakening of the rotation after the merge happens. TropicalAnalystwx13
That was the quickest forming, and quickest dissipating, as well as the strongest couplet I have ever personally witnessed. G2G shear peaked at 207.9 knots. Fortunately, the tornado tracked across an un-populated area.
Indystorm
We may have two separate massive supercells developing in Nebraska and Kansas instead of a possible line as I earlier thought.

SmokeEater
Sean Casey and the TIV took a direct hit by that wedge, says they are ok, lots of debris and one of the doors opened. Also, a piece of wood entered the vehicle.

Chinook
Reed Timmer @reedtimmerTVN1m Just intercepted mile-wide wedge 1 mile E Cora, KS. Stuck in mud but getting east for another intercept. Massive @jimcantore @kfor So there was a tornado at Cora, Kansas, maybe one at Edgar, Nebraska, (???) one northeast of Lebanon KS. I can't find Cora, KS on a map. Superstorm93
...CENTRAL PLAINS/MO VALLEY/MIDWEST... THE MOST CONCENTRATED/INTENSE SEVERE RISK IS EXPECTED ESPECIALLY THIS EVENING ACROSS PARTS OF NORTHERN KS/SOUTHEAST NEB INTO WESTERN/NORTHERN MO AND SOUTHERN IA. thunderbird12
Yeah. https://twitter.com/SeanCaseyImax "Turret door blew open, camera blown into TIV. Huge mess inside TIV. She didn't move at all though! Deployment a huge success." Having a door blow open inside of a big tornado sounds more like a near disaster than huge success, but as far as actually intercepting a tornado it was obviously a success. Ian
Keep doubting things, it seems everytime you doubt something, it always seems to go crazy, lol.The Rozel tornado ramped up in a similar fashion during cell interaction. We saw two brief tor with no condensation funnels prior to that. We couldn't see anything durin the ramp up. Big mess.

Ian
Same exact thing with my team as well.Always seems like data is awful when there is something to be worried about. Last scan we got showed the couplet go nuts. Parked on a road nearby and waited but once it started to hail and pour we had no real option but to bail. Got some more good structure shots etc at least.
