  SOUTHERN CHEROKEE COUNTY IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS...
 
* UNTIL 815 PM CDT
 
* AT 747 PM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A
  TORNADO WAS LOCATED 13 MILES WEST OF TREECE...AND MOVING EAST AT 25
  MPH.
 
  HAZARD...DEVELOPING TORNADO AND PING PONG BALL SIZE HAIL.
 
  SOURCE...WEATHER SPOTTERS REPORTED FUNNEL CLOUD. SPOTTERS REPORTED 
  A FUNNEL CLOUD TO THE WEST OF CHETOPA. 
 
  IMPACT...MOBILE HOMES WILL BE HEAVILY DAMAGED OR DESTROYED.
           SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO ROOFS...WINDOWS AND VEHICLES WILL
           OCCUR. FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DEADLY TO PEOPLE AND ANIMALS.

   NERN OK.

   DISCUSSION...HP SUPERCELLS HAVE BEEN BACKBUILDING ACROSS CNTRL OK
   WHERE THE SWD MOVING FRONT INTERSECTS THE DRYLINE...AND STORMS ARE
   SUBSEQUENTLY TRAINING ESEWD. STORMS MAY TREND TOWARD OUTFLOW
   DOMINANCE LATER THIS EVENING. IN THE MEANTIME...VWP DATA SHOW LOW
   LEVEL HODOGRAPHS HAVE BECOME LARGER AS THE LLJ STRENGTHENS...AND
   STORMS ARE MOVING THROUGH A VERY UNSTABLE ENVIRONMENT WITH 4000+
   J/KG MLCAPE. VERY LARGE HAIL...WIND IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH AND

Severe storms aren't my forte, but I guess it's a good thing that so many cells are wrapped up near each other and disturbing each other vs. one or two discrete cells producing monsters. Widespread moderate damage vs. more localized horrendous damage? Either way another crazy night for OKC.
