Perhaps the recent influx of a warm tongue at 700 mb, which has reduced lapse rates over OKC and surrounding areas, has caused the cells to weaken and to show merger tendencies. But again, this could be incorrect. Maybe the cell is struggling to produce a strong tornado due to the proximity of other cells. I would like someone to explain why the cells are struggling to consolidate rotation.
