Ground Scouring Posted June 1, 2013 Share Posted June 1, 2013 Perhaps the recent influx of a warm tongue at 700 mb, which has reduced lapse rates over OKC and surrounding areas, has caused the cells to weaken and to show merger tendencies. But again, this could be incorrect. Maybe the cell is struggling to produce a strong tornado due to the proximity of other cells.
