csnavywx
It definitely dropped the hail core. VIL values are way down from earlier. Circulation is still strong though.
ICEHOCEY77
TBH, If I was on this cell I'd call it a night. Heaviest rotation is under 50dBZ of rain and light is fading fast. Right. Only thing you can see are wrapping rain sheets, and god forbid it moves east on you...

Ian
I hope they have some DOW trucks on it. We'll probably find out later the TIV has been in it the entire time. lolThink they said they were near it but not in it.
Ensō
I hope they have some DOW trucks on it. We'll probably find out later the TIV has been in it the entire time. lol There was a DOW truck scanning on Tony Mesias' cam, looked like a few miles from the tornado. AgeeWx
Tomorrows threat will probably be a Tornado Outbreak. I just hope Moore OK doesn't get again. A little bit of discussion would be helpful. Predicting an outbreak based solely upon the D2 isn't helpful to this topic.
LocoAko
Tomorrows threat will probably be a Tornado Outbreak. I just hope Moore OK doesn't get again. Can we try not to use the word "outbreak" prematurely like that? We've all seen the SPC outlook for tomorrow...

Ian
That's a pretty tight shot of the base when it was a cone IMO. It was a wedge I guess but at times it looked more wedge than it was.. Tor was mainly on the left side of the rain curtain.

Ian
Looks like the upslope play verified too. Can't really complain about choosing KS tho.
wxtrackercody
It'll be interesting to see how tomorrow plays out. There's significantly more upper-air support across Kansas tomorrow, but instability is lower and the approaching speed maximum may produce a ton of crapvection. Nonetheless, wind shear is definitely supportive of significant tornadoes.

David Reimer
I don't know what the 12KM NAM has been smoking showing widespread precip across OK tomorrow afternoon with MUCAPE values near 1,000 J/Kg. The 4KM NAM shows nearly 3,000 J/Kg of CAPE tomorrow afternoon with a nasty convective scenario setting up.

messier77
I did the upslope play in CO/NE and it was just spectacular LP structure all day long. Lots of very visible rotation and tor warnings, but these storms were high based and had little chance of putting anything down (other than some golf ball hail that smacked us). Kind of disappointed to have missed the tornadoes, especially since I woke up in Salina this morning, but the structure on the upslope play was epic and made up for it somewhat. Will post pictures later.
David Reimer
Hopefully the cell approaching Amarillo dies out soon. If it doesn't, well this is going to be an unpleasant and expensive evening for those folks.
