Ginx snewx
"Might" end up with more clouds then actual rain. The front edge of the rain shield seems to disintegrate as it heads into antecedent dry air mass. Also, at this time of year the sun is so potent that it can kinda cook the middle troposphere, changing the complexion of instability and mechanics. It can cause strata rains to weaken. well maybe but that rain shield traversed the entire state of PA since 0730 this morning.

ORH_wxman
I like (will tolerate) high dews if there's big convection to be had. Otherwise high dews suck. Its like brutal cold in the winter, If it leads to snow its ok if not then completely useless. Yeah if I knew we had a nice prefrontal trough moving in with high shear in place...then I'll take 91/74 anyday...but most of the time that isn't the synoptic setup, so I'll gladly take warm/dry over that. powderfreak
Not when temps plummet at sunset and you have to bring a long sleeved shirt at night. Hideous Nobody likes sitting at a fire pit or campfire when it's 85 degrees out at 9pm and the Mosquitos are all over you because it's too hot for a hoodie. Plus you make it sound like its freezing out....it's 65 to 70F instead of like 80 in the evening. Plus 75+% of the population likes cool, refreshing air after a hot day. No one walks into a sultry airmass and goes ahhh that's lovely...no, they go ughh let's go back to the AC.

He's just goading you into keeping an absurd conversation going ... haven't you figured that out yet? I admit to having a sick interest in "seeing just how hot" it can be. We nearly missed setting all time heat records 2 summers ago and that was a fascinating day. I remember driving down Rt 9 at 6pm and seeing the temp pegged at 102 insane. The DP that day interestingly advected SE, leaving the area in heat/dry, though. But, if it just going to be 90/67 for 10 straight days that gets annoying pretty fast - agreed. S&P
I enjoy exercising / working out in the heat and humidity, you know working up a good lather, the kind where all your cloths are stuck to your skin and your shoes squish when you walk. in my down time though, when i am relaxing, i want to be comfortable - central AC makes both possible. powderfreak
What Blizz really wants is weather that most folks find enjoyable...everyone knows that when he is discussing his opinions he says, "we, us, most people" when it's really only him. But in the winter he wants to go to work to hear people complaining about cold/wind/snow /ice. In the summer he wants to hear most folks complain about relentless heat/humidity/oppressive environmental conditions. Blizz finds what "most people" think of as nice weather to be boring. If the public isn't complaining about some aspect of the weather it must be too boring.

Do you remember those early years on EUSWX when Blizz was all about cool summer temps? He used to get into it with Ryan when he would forecast 90F and Blizz would say another nice day with torch fail as its only 83F in Tolland. He was a cold year round type of guy, then something happened and now he has the flip in April and October. He realized that while 75-85F is comfortable and enjoyable, it wasn't extreme enough to hype
ORH_wxman
Boring: Old man like, to not like or be opposed to change, Keep close to vest, cause tiredness, Keep same avatar for 8 years To lull to sleep You said people want accurate forecasts....hyping rarely leads to accurate forecasts except in those rare scenarios where we experience an extreme storm or weather pattern. Hyping generally leads to perception of incorrect forecasts or a perception of spinning or embellishing claims on one's forecast when people aren't impressed with it after the fact. There's a reason why those who hype weather (JB does this many times) have to back peddle. I prefer accurate forecasts as it has made my clients happy over the years. If that means its "boring", then so be it.
